Research Study on Diversity: Participants needed!

Our institution along with other academic institutions nationwide, have agreed to participate in the Building Up research study. Building Up aims to jump-start the careers of early career investigators from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups or disadvantaged backgrounds by providing them with the mentoring, skills, and knowledge needed for successful research careers. The participating institutions will be randomized into one of two interventions.

We are reaching out to share this opportunity with anyone interested in participating in this 12-month training intervention. The program is being offered at Children’s National and GW through a partnership with the CTSI-CN. No matter what intervention our institution is randomized to, those accepted will participate in monthly career development sessions, courses, mentoring, and networking opportunities starting on September 1, 2020.

As part of this research study, participants will complete regular surveys as well as submit an updated CV. Participants will be compensated for the completion of each assessment.

If you are interested, the study is accepting applications until August 31, 2020. To apply for the study and complete the consent process, please visit https://redcap.link/evrjem8d or scan the QR code below.
