2021 I-ACT for Children Educational Grant Program
The Clinical and Translational Science Institute at Children's National (CTSI-CN) and the Institute for Advanced Clinical Trials for Children (I-ACT) are pleased to to announce the official call for applications for the 2021 I-ACT for Children Educational Grant Program. The I-ACT for Children Educational Grant Program supports the continuing education of those involved in pediatric clinical trial research. Specifically, the program is designed to support the attendance of an early-stage investigator, study nurse or coordinator, research administrator, or research administration staff who support pediatric clinical trials at a relevant research conference or course. This year, I-ACT is supporting a total of four grants*, $2,500 each, which will be awarded to support attendance at a relevant research conference, course, or educational program as follows:
- Two (2) Early-stage Investigators - Candidate must hold an academic [or equivalent] rank below associate professor (e.g., assistant professors, instructors, postdocs, fellows, and students)
- Two (2) Research Support Staff Members - Study nurse or coordinator, research administrator, or research administration staff that supports pediatric clinical trials
*Note: Not more than two (2) applications will be accepted from any single institution and not more than one (1) grant will be awarded to any single institution. This grant is open only to staff of I-ACT for Children network sites making only Children’s National Hospital early-stage investigators and research staff eligible.

Apply by Friday, September 24, 2021, 5:00 PM EST.
Any applications received after this date will not be considered. Please return the completed application form (including personal statement and optional statement of financial need) to your local I-ACT Site POC/Site Champion, Jurran Wilson (firstname.lastname@example.org). Selected candidates will then be submitted to I-ACT for final selection by September 30th. Winners will be announced on November 2021.
