Cerner PowerTrials

As the Nation’s Children’s Hospital, our most important mission is to advance the understanding, prevention, and treatment of diseases that afflict children around the world. In this pursuit, one of our greatest assets is the comprehensive clinical research performed by our respected research community. The diligent work of this essential group, and the application of their collective research findings, play an imperative role in how we continuously improve the world-class care we provide.

In an effort to accelerate advancement in this undertaking, Children’s National is pleased to announce that we are collaborating with Cerner (our Bear Institute partner) to introduce PowerTrials, an application that will optimize the way in which we conduct research, notably in regards to participant recruitment and tracking.

PowerTrials is an intuitive tool comprised of two functions, Prescreening and Participant Management, which have been integrated into the Children’s National electronic medical records system (i.e. PowerChart/BearTracks).
